We’ve been providing quality tours and bike rentals in Thailand and Myanmar since 3 years ago together with our partner from Chiang Mai. Our routes are just the right amount of riding and sightseeing in Myanmar along with quality accommodation all along the way. <\/p>\n

The Base Tour outlined below is a 10 day Myanmar ride with 2 days in Thailand. We can add a few ride options to the overall tour and are flexible.\u00a0 The base tour is a working model.<\/p>\n

Tour Options:<\/h6>\n

  1. 2 days Thailand, 12 days Myanmar, additional O\/N in Mandalay and Magway<\/li>\n
  2. 2 days Thailand, 14 days Myanmar, additional O\/N in Mandalay, Magway, Bagan, Kalaw<\/li>\n
  3. 10\/12\/14 day tour in Myanmar and add on as many days riding Northern Thailand!<\/li>\n
  4. Border Hop – 4 or 6 days in Myanmar.\u00a0 The 4 day tour would only be Hpa-An, Golden Rock -Mawlamyine while the 6 day could possibly include Inle Lake.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Our rides begin and end in Chiang Mai, Thailand and there is nothing like the feeling of riding a bike across the border!\u00a0 Our equipment is top notch – new model Honda CRF 250L and a selection of larger capacity bikes like the Kawasaki Versys 650, Kawawaki ER-6n 650 and Honda CB 500X. On request, we can also run Harley Davidson, Ducati and several higher end bikes.\u00a0 All tours have a very good guide\/rider and are trailed by a support vehicle with a local guide and support staff.\u00a0 Food on the tour will be a mostly local cuisine with western snacks to keep you powered up for the riding days.<\/p>\n

    We are the only\u00a0motorcycle tour company in Myanmar to offer this type of tour and we’re excited to offer this trip and sure it will be a fantastic ride each and every time – we hope to have you along for one of our excursions!\u00a0 Currently this will not be a set departure trip and only on offer to groups.<\/p>\n

    Day to Day Itinerary:<\/h6>\n
    Day 1\u00a0 Chiang Mai Arrival<\/h6>\n

    \"\"Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, airport transfer.\u00a0 Welcome dinner tonight near the hotel and full trip briefing.\u00a0 In the evening we go over the bikes, route and make sure we’re good to roll.<\/p>\n

    Day 2\u00a0 Chiang Mai to Tak, Thailand<\/h6>\n

    Departure from hotel and ride to Mae Sot border hotel. Open tour route.<\/p>\n

    Day 3\u00a0 Tak, Thailand to Hpa An, Myanmar 180 KM<\/h6>\n

    Departure from hotel before 8 am and border formalities on the Thai and Myanmar\u00a0 border points. <\/p>\n

    \"\"Customs clearance may take time.\u00a0 Exit from the Myanmar border by 11:00.\u00a0 A Myanmar support team will meet the group at the border (Myanmar Guide\/Myanmar Tourism Official).\u00a0 The road from the border to Kawkareik is about 68 km \u2013 down a fairly bad mountain road, estimated ride time 2 hours.\u00a0 Arrival time estimated for Hpa-An resort at 16:00 \u2013 time to explore the area a little as there is a monastery nearby.<\/p>\n

    Day 4\u00a0 Hpa An to Tuangoo 380 KM<\/h6>\n

    \"\"Departure from hotel early – time to ride!\u00a0 The route will go via Golden Rock but there is not enough time to go up to the temple and Golden Rock site.\u00a0 This involves parking, taking a truck and a 45 minute walk to the base of the temple.\u00a0 Up and back , 3.5 hours. The temple and rock can be viewed\u00a0 from the road leading to the last town.\u00a0 Lunch at a local restaurant or the Golden Sunrise hotel on the leading edge of the road to the temple is possible or bypass the temple and a larger restaurant is available.\u00a0 The ride continues on Road # 1, the former main road Yangon to Mandalay. Arrival at the ROYAL KAYTUMADI HOTEL.\u00a0 Hotel has a swimming pool and on a small lake. \u2013 NOTE: Hotel upon availability.<\/p>\n

    Day 5\u00a0 Tuangoo to Inle Lake 320 KM to Nyaung Shwe<\/h6>\n

    Departure from hotel early so we can take our time on the route.\u00a0 The tour will bypass Nay Pyi Taw, the capital as bikes are not permitted to travel in the city.\u00a0 The roads are quite good for the first 150 km and then a sweeping mountain road getting to an elevation of 1575 m.\u00a0 Several sections of road are unimproved and can be rough but all paved. The last section of road into Inle Lake is rough but paved.\u00a0 Upon arrival of the southern edge of the lake, ride to the hotel.<\/p>\n

    Day 6\u00a0 Inle Lake \u2013 Nyaung Shwe<\/h6>\n

    \"\"This is an early morning boat tour from the hotel. The boat tour might be cut a bit short from below depending on the day. In the morning, take a boat ride to visit a colorful local market. The markets around the lake are not every day.\u00a0 They rotate on a 5 days basis. Ethnic minority of Paoh come to Taung Tho to sell firewood and other locals come to sell and buy or simply meet each other. After the market, continue by boat to Indein to visit the ancient Bagan\/ Shan style pagodas, built during Bagan Period, passing the beautiful scenery with tall grasses and little water steps. The ruin pagodas, hidden in the bushes will give you an impression that you were back in the 12th – 13th Centuries. The boat trip up the river to Indein itself is amazing and quite an adventure. Back to the hotel and the afternoon is at your leisure<\/p>\n

    Day 7\u00a0 Nyaung Shwe to Mandalay – 280 KM<\/h6>\n

    Departure early and we\u2019ll be riding a to a local cave temple a bit off the beaten track.\u00a0 The ride will be via smaller country roads and in a minority area.\u00a0 Several impressive temples will line the road.\u00a0 The route will be at elevation for most of the trip and a large descent over 8 km on very tight hairpin turns.\u00a0\u00a0 Entry to Mandalay will be a guide\u2019s discretion as there are two routes and a stop at U Bien Bridge on the way in is possible.\u00a0 An earlier departure will allow riders a bit more time in Mandalay perhaps to ride up Mandalay Hill.<\/p>\n

    Day 8 Mandalay to Bagan – 225 KM<\/h6>\n

    \"\"Departure early and the route will start along the river then along the main superhighway for a short time. The road is then smaller and arrival in Bagan should be around 14:00, time enough to see 3 of the main temples in Bagan.\u00a0 Bike riding in Bagan is not permitted to the temple sites and a minivan or small but will be used to visit temple sites.\u00a0 Depending on the weather and time of year, an optional early morning balloon flight can be added.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Day 9 Bagan to Pyay –\u00a0 410 KM<\/h6>\n

    Departure by 08:00 departure out of Bagan via the main old city gates.\u00a0 The ride will be 50 % on roads not surveyed but are in generally good condition.\u00a0 A short stop in Magway for lunch and depending on time, a visit to the main temple that has an external elevator.\u00a0 The ride continues to Pyay with an afternoon arrival time. This will be the longest ride day and possibly into after sunset time.
    Hey – why no Mt. Popa?\u00a0 Well, we’ll be riding in areas that have temple complexes on the tops of volcanic formations already and on the way out.\u00a0 The temple there is cool but it has drawbacks to go up, mostly the amount of monkey poo all over the place!<\/p>\n

    Day 10 Pyay to Bago – 300 KM<\/h6>\n

    \"\"The ride will be on a secondary highway and lunch will be a very local place along the ride route.\u00a0
    The route to avoid entry to Yangon\u2019s ring roads is a fun ride. We have the possibility to do a small section of off road to an area that used to be an English Garrison.\u00a0 Chances depend on time and authorities.\u00a0 The main portion of the ride is a tree lined road and traffic will increase the closer we get to Yangon.\u00a0 Arrival in Bago around 16:00 depending on stops.<\/p>\n

    Day 11 Bago to Kyaikhtiyo – 155 KM<\/h6>\n

    The ride is a shorter one today as we’ll aim for getting to the hotel at the base of Golden Rock by noon.\u00a0 From here, lunch and board trucks up the mountain to the temple and a little trek to the site.\u00a0 Return down and dinner at the hotel.<\/p>\n

    Day 12 Kyaikhtiyo to Myawaddy – 260 KM<\/h6>\n

    The ride retraces our entry route and we’ll be headed up to the border and spending one last night in Myanmar. Along the way we’ll have to pass several exit checkpoints but the staffs are quite friendly.<\/p>\n

    Day 13 Myawaddy, Myanmar to Chiang Mai, Thailand<\/h6>\n

    We\u2019ll be taking the most direct route back, dinner tonight on the town at a biker bar to make them trade ride tales.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    Inclusive\/Exclusive:<\/h6>\n

    We offer this tour as a fully inclusive tour only.\u00a0 We will provide bikes, fuel, entry permissions, guides, accommodation, meals, support vehicle, drinking water and all entry fees for sites along the tour route.\u00a0 As a rider, all you need to pay for on the tour is personal expense and alcohol\/soft drinks.<\/p>\n

    Extras:<\/h6>\n

    We will also provide “Kid Bags” for the trips to each rider.\u00a0 In each bag will be a toiletry set and hygiene information in their language.\u00a0 Each rider will be given a daily GPS route to follow with all the POI and locations the tour will stay.\u00a0 Those needing a GPS will be able to use one of ours.\u00a0 The tour will be run with SPOT Messenger – so your friends and family can follow our live tracks on the tour. On the tour, we’ll have a few Go Pro helmet cameras to pass around for the ride to capture all the images while throttling through the country.\u00a0 At the conclusion of the tour, a 500 GB drive of all the imagery – still and video will be yours to take.\u00a0 <\/p>\n
